The Sweets // Living the Sweet life in Central Illinois.
Anna and I went to the airport on Tuesday night to pick Julie and Cooper up from their trip to Seattle. I had a vague idea of what would likely happen - Cooper would get to the bottom of the escalator and run to me, and Anna would scurry over and bear-hug Julie. I decided to record the moment, which unfolded exactly as I anticipated. The only part I didn't get right was how the siblings don't even acknowledge each other as they run by.
More morning fun in the Sweet household. Anna starts the song off and Cooper joins in. Notice his transition from Baby Beluga > Down by the Station > Baby Beluga.
This morning Julie and I planned on running the KSA 5K on the Illinois campus. Since the race was small and stroller friendly we planned to push the kids in the jogger, but as we started both kids wanted to "run". Anna made it a couple hundred yards before climbing back in the stroller. Cooper, however, kept going. In fact, he insisted on running/walking the entire 5K. Even though he wasn't registered the race organizers were nice enough to give him a medal for being the youngest finisher (he wasn't last either). Good fun on a Saturday morning.
A couple photos from yesterday’s MBA picnic at Hessel Park. Cooper and I also found another cache, although he was a bit ticked that it didn’t have any treasure.
